At TWB, we believe your travel plans and personal details belong to you. We’ve built this platform with a "Privacy by Design" approach—meaning we only collect what’s necessary to help you find a travel partner, and nothing more.

1. Who is looking after your data?

Your data is managed by Little Owl Media S.R.L., based in Brașov, Romania. Because we are an EU-based company, your privacy is protected by the GDPR, one of the world's strongest data protection laws.

2. What we collect (and why)

We only ask for information that helps the community stay safe and helps you find matches:

  • Account Basics: Your email and your age (to ensure everyone is 18+).
  • Profile Info: Your travel photos, bio, and destinations. You choose what to share.
  • Safety Verification: A quick "liveness" gesture check to prove you are a real person. We don't publish the photos; we just use it to verify you.
  • Location: Only while you use the app, to show you travelers nearby or in your destination city.

3. We DON'T do the following:

  • No Selling Data: We never sell your personal information to advertisers or third parties. Period.
  • No Public Indexing: Your profile and photos will never show up on Google or other search engines.
  • No Shadow Tracking: We don't follow you around the internet once you close the TWB app.

4. Who can see your info?

  • Other Members: Can see your public profile, photos, and trip plans.
  • Private Photos: Only visible to people you choose to share them with.
  • Safety Partners: In rare cases, we share data with authorities if required by law to protect the community (e.g., child safety).

5. Your Rights: You're in Charge

Under EU law, you have total control over your data. You can:

  • Access: Ask for a copy of the data we have about you.
  • Correct: Update any info that is wrong.
  • Delete: Delete your account anytime. When you do, we wipe your personal data from our active systems.
  • Pause: Simply hide your profile if you want a break without deleting everything.

6. How long we keep things

We don't keep data longer than we need to:

  • Profile data: Kept as long as your account is active.
  • Deleted accounts: Most data is removed within 30 days.
  • Verification data: Liveness checks are cleared after 90 days.

7. Security

We use industry-standard encryption to keep your messages and photos safe. Our team in Romania manually reviews reports to ensure no one is misusing the platform.
